Well, Christmas is almost upon us and, of course, that also means the year is almost at an end. I wanted to write a quick update here as it's been awhile.
As I mentioned in the 'Featured Photo' section, things here have been busy! After our trip to Egypt I was experiencing some pain in my hip, which, after some time, was revealed as being caused by a fracture. I luckily got in to see a very good specialist who stabilised the problem area with a screw and I am now healing nicely from that surgery! As you can imagine, this has hindered my photographic endeavours for a time, but now that I'm off the crutches (a very wonderful Christmas present in itself!), I'm planning to get back out there so I can share more images here with you. I have a few things in the works, one in particular that I'm quite excited about; I hope to be able to share more details about that early in the new year.
In other news, also mentioned in the 'Featured Photo' section, my Nick proposed and we are planning to get married next summer. For me, 2009 has been a very interesting and exciting year - I'm hoping 2010 will top it by being more interesting, more exciting, and less painful ;) ...I hope that 2009 was a wonderful adventure for you too and that this coming year holds everything you could hope for.
Warmest wishes, as always,
Miko

Against my better judgement, I decided to give Twitter a chance; much to my surprise, I'm loving it! Finding it's a great source of information as long as you take the time to find interesting people/organisations to 'follow'. You can check out what I'm saying, who I'm following, and who's following me here:
MMY Photography on Twitter.
I've also re-added rss feeds to the site. You'll find them at the bottom of the gallery pages. Enjoy!

I'm happy to announce that a few more of my prints are now on display at Country Pictures Gallery and the gallery is involved this year in

Last week I was contacted Vanity Fair asking to purchase my photograph of polo player Rob Archibald. Lucky for me that he's such a photogenic fellow! The photo was published a couple of days ago at
vanityfair.com.

We've just gotten back from a trip to Canada, so the construction here will resume and
many new photos will be added shortly.
Thanks so much for taking the time to browse the site and for your patience while things here are changing.
Kind regards, as always,
Miko

One of my limited edition prints of 'Gneiss Rock' is now framed and on display at Country Pictures Gallery, Bramley, Surrey. A whole-hearted endorsement of their framing work, I've now made arrangements to use them for all the framed open and limited edition prints I offer here on the site.
